What is Group Housing?
In definition “GroupHousing“ means one kind of two or more self-contained dwelling units on a residential or commercial plot capable of being sub-divided into separate title, which later may have an independent ownership of home, flat, unit for individual. It is generally a residential or commercial building with group housing/ multi dwelling/ apartments/units having more than 4 dwelling units.
This is similar like one can purchase own plot and construct himself. The main purpose of "GroupHousing" is to build the own house but with like minded friends and people who can share and create own community, So that all can bring down cost of flat significantly down and enjoy benefit of inflation.
As per BDA and BBMP, BMRDA by-laws there are many categories for Permissible for Land uses in Residential category (R Residential land uses) and GroupHousing is one among it.
